The Feuchtl Collection was born from a shared desire to preserve not only works of art, but also the memory, spirit and human stories that gave rise to them.
Spanning nearly eight decades of artistic expression, the collection brings together the works of three artists whose lives and creative journeys became intertwined through a common devotion to beauty, authenticity and artistic freedom.
At the heart of this story stands Franz Feuchtl, who discovered painting late in life and went on to create more than seven hundred paintings and drawings. His former studio became a place where creativity flourished and where art became an essential part of everyday life.
Inspired by a deep respect for this legacy, Brigitte Niessner and the late Hubert Rathgeber lovingly transformed Haus Feuchtl into a living house of art. Together, they dedicated themselves to preserving not only the works of Franz Feuchtl, but also their own artistic creations and the spirit that united them.
Today, Haus Feuchtl permanently presents numerous paintings by Franz Feuchtl, Hubert Rathgeber and Brigitte Niessner. More than a residence, it has become a place of memory, inspiration and artistic continuity.
