“Art preserves what time cannot erase.”
The Feuchtl Collection was created from a shared desire to preserve not only a body of artistic work, but also a place of memory, creativity and cultural heritage for future generations.
Over several decades, three artists — Franz Feuchtl, Brigitte Niessner and Hubert Rathgeber — followed their individual creative paths while sharing a profound belief in the enduring value of art. Together, their works form a unique artistic legacy that reflects authenticity, emotional depth and a deep connection to nature, humanity and the spiritual dimensions of life.
At the heart of the collection stands Haus Feuchtl, a place with a special history. It was here that Franz Feuchtl created many of his paintings in his studio. Inspired by the desire to preserve this legacy, Brigitte Niessner and Hubert Rathgeber lovingly transformed the house into a dedicated art house, where numerous works by all three artists are permanently displayed.
Today, Haus Feuchtl is more than a residence. It is a living place of art, memory and inspiration — a home for creativity and a testament to the belief that art can transcend generations.
The Feuchtl Collection was established with the intention of safeguarding this artistic heritage and making it accessible to future generations. It reflects a commitment not only to preserving paintings, but also to preserving the spirit, stories and values that gave rise to them.
Rooted in the traditions of European painting and inspired by expressionism, symbolism and emotional storytelling, the collection seeks to foster dialogue between art, nature and the human experience.
The Feuchtl Collection and Haus Feuchtl stand as a living cultural legacy — a celebration of creativity, beauty and the enduring power of the human spirit.
“Within the walls of Haus Feuchtl, art, memory and human creativity continue their dialogue across generations.”
